A chance week of work experience turned a teenager’s curiosity into a craft — and, eventually, a barbershop on wheels.
It started at 17, with work experience at my aunt’s salon, V’s Hair Designs in Grantham. Watching a simple haircut transform someone’s confidence, I fell for the craft instantly — and I’ve never looked back since.
I trained at the London School of Barbering, earning my NVQ Level 2 and 3 — both with distinction — then went on to my Level 4, becoming a VTCT Trainer and IQA. I still take masterclasses and keep on top of modern trends, so every client gets the best, up-to-date service.
Five years, a fistful of qualifications and one very particular idea of what a haircut should feel like.
A week of work experience at V’s Hair Designs in Grantham. One transformation later, the craft had me for good.
